Took on-line ‘Emode’ IQ test. Score and meaning below.
not sure if this was posted yet, but the boys in bethel are at it again.
the october 15th botchtower study article is, not so surprisingly, very negative and down on any parents that are encouraging their children to go to university.
i don't have a scanner here, so i'll have to highlight some of the more vomitous (is that a word?
I'm extremely vocal about furthering one's education. One of the reasons I'm in the JWs' "borderline apostate" list.

the thread started on "an invitation to a wedding" with all its talk on manners got me thinking...... is there any other childless person out there that is tired of being invited to the birthday parties of friend's children?
i am childless by choice.
i have a large family with many kids, visiting me, making a huge mess of my house, bugging me for money to go to the store, waiting for me to drop off their gifts every year, playing pranks on me (i'll get those little suckers back), walking around with my shoes on, peeing in my bed, etc.
Fringe benefits???!!!
I'm kind of glad JWs don't celebrate birthdays in this regard. Everyday is somebody's birthday! Not celebrating them is a real plus. Or is it that I'm stingy and careless of other people's feelings?!
Now I'm thoroughly confused.

man, if i don't solve this problem i'm gonna be dead one way or another.. i know i need to build self esteem.
i am focusing on bringing things into my life that i find real fulfillment in.. i had little fulfillment as a witness.
really only the pleasure i got from bible studies, of which i really only had about 10 real ones of.

for living forever on a paradise earth?
if not, why?
By JWs' standards, I'm a goner.
I've given up on the idea.

did you ever notice how jws act when they hear that an inactive jw or a df'd person had something bad happen to them?
almost with glee, they give that *look* that says, "we told you so".
Minimus,
I know what you're referring to. YES, they love it, love it, love it when something goes wrong with someone that leaves the Organization. Sad.

it was relayed to me by a friend that in order for jw's to get "help" from other jw's, that they needed to fill out a form (to make sure that they were jw's) and answer questions concerning how active they are and meeting attendance.
if the meeting attendance was low or if they were "inactive", then they weren't going to be taken in or helped.
in the situation that was relayed to me, a jw woman with a couple of teenaged girls was asking for help.
YES!!!
Only JWs in 'good standing' receive the help as soon as possible. All others: Inconsistent, inactives, disassociated, disfellowshipped, FORGET ABOUT IT!!!
Last year, when Charlie hit SW Florida, applications for help would have to be filled out and approved by the 'service committee'. So, if there was anyone that wasn't in 'good standing', the service committee would catch it and not approve the help.
Whatever they could do to help only their own, and those are their very own and not those that are just warming up a seat once in a while.

a jw parking a hummer at a kingdom hall.
this is nothing unusual at this hall.
when i drive by in the mornings to take the hubby to work, i often see lexus, bmws, mercedes, caddies, audis, etc.
There are plenty well-off inside the WBTS.
In the congregation I attend most are doing pretty well for themselves if you'd measure it by the cars driven and the houses/land they own.
